Habitat for Humanity

​Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties, has two programs that can benefit residents:
​

1. Homeownership Program- This program works with qualified home buyers to build a new home or rehabilitate a current property.  There is specific criteria to be determined as eligible for this programming, which is outlined below.


2. Home Repairs- This program works with current home owners to complete repairs at their property.  Like the Homeownership program, there are specific requirements to be eligible for this programming.

 REVIVE Program

The purpose of the REVIVE program is to aide in the productive renovation and reuse of residential homes. The REVIVE program aims to remove assessments applied to the formerly distressed property as a result of ongoing property maintenance, that become a barrier, often preventing the reuse of these properties.

Community Reinvestment Area (CRA)
​Property Tax Abatement

A Community Reinvestment Area is a section within the City which contains housing facilities or structures of historical significance, where new housing construction and repair of existing facilities has been discouraged. The purpose of designating Community Reinvestment Areas within the City of Sidney is to provide the City with an effective tool to encourage, manage, and guide certain desired economic development activity.
